The Commissions Process
SIZE
First thing is to decide the best size canvas for your unique piece. At this time I am only accepting commissions 24" x 30" (60.95cm x 76.2cm) and larger. If you are unsure the perfect size for your space, I’m happy to help you decide! In order to ensure quality and to be able to give my clients as much attention as possible, I only open two slots for commissions every month.
INSPIRATION
It would be helpful to meet in person (if local) to get a feel for who you are in person (colour palette, likes and dislikes, personal vision, personality, light, overall mood, etc.)
I appreciate any inspiration you can provide - what particular paintings/style of mine you favor (take a peek at my Instagram for inspiration too!) any photographs/landscapes/locations you like, Pinterest boards, colour palettes, etc. The more insight, the better!
SKETCH
I start with a few sketch options for your piece, to give you an idea of what I had in mind and make sure I am honouring your overall look for this piece. Once I have your approval, the painting begins. At this point, I typically allow for 10 -12 week for completion of each piece (and slightly longer during the holiday season.)
PRICING
My prices for commissioned pieces start at about $700. I request a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin, with the remaining balance, plus shipping, due once your painting is complete. Pricing and timeline will also depend on the difficulty of the commissioned artowrk. Feel free to message me for inquiries.
