So the highlight of the long weekend is that I’m now the proud owner of a posh tea set, with a very special meaning. TL:DR My oldest daughter and I have been watching some period dramas together as our bonding thing lately and each time people sit down for a posh tea we’d make one too, and we both commented how it would taste soooo much nicer in a fancy tea set instead of our rather ordinary crockery. (I love my mugs, but I've never been much of a tea-set person) She asked if we could go and buy one. And so I thought it would be a beautiful sentimental moment that we will always share as my daughter suggested we can add to the set each year. (And my youngest daughter can be part of as she grows too). And bless her, of everything in David Jones and Myer, she chose the Royal Albert classic. Definitely the start of something. I’m even thinking I might add to it I have something big to celebrate - especially when it comes to business - a reminder that will last for years to come and be a cool “in my face” reminder of just how far we’ve come. It represents my future not my past as I’ve overcome a lot to get to where I am today. It’s been so intense for so long, doing the parenting thing while running a business all while doing all the mindset stuff and healing (yes the thing with a capital T focusing initially on my five kids but now creating space to focus on myself too). Still very much a work in progress of course. So that makes this decision to buy and enjoy this all the sweeter. The joy this tea set has brought been palpable and my daughter and I just keep pinching ourselves that it’s ours!!
